Water Formation Volume Factor(Bw)

The water formation volume factor represents the change in volume of the brine as it is transported from reservoir conditions to surface conditions.

The solubility of hydrocarbon gas in water is considerably less than the amount of gas held by oil so that gas solubility has little effect on the water formation volume factor.
